release based on the popular stories from the radio show Little Known
Facts, written & produced by Chaz Allen. The first two books,

Extraordinary Women — Little Known Facts
New Book Collects Factual Stories of Famous Women’s
Accomplishments
OKLAHOMA CITY – With the success of such films
as Quentin Tarantino’s all-girl assassin Kung Fu film, Kill Bill,
women are proving they can hold their own on many fronts. Uma
Thurman and Lucy Liu may have dueled in a snowy Japanese garden,
but many people don’t know which two famous women had a real-life
shootout. Chaz Allen reveals surprising little known facts about
some of the world’s greatest achievers in Extraordinary Women
– The Things They Have Done That You Never Knew (now available
through 1stBooks).
“These are some of the best
stories ever gathered and compiled about the accomplishments of
women in our society. It is not only true, but the stories of how
these women did it…makes some of the most entertaining stories ever
put on paper,” Allen states.
Extraordinary Women
collects true stories of American women and the things they did
to help make America a great nation. Allen, with wit and deft storytelling,
reveals these little known stories about great women, such as Florence
Lawrence, the first film star and the inventor of turn signals and
brake lights, and Lucille Ball, who helped thwart a Japanese spy’s
underground radio station with her teeth. Many know that Julia Child
exhibits great skill in the culinary arts, but few know that she invented
shark repellent and became instrumental in the Asian front of World
War II by delivering secret messages in Ceylon and China. Pearl Zane
Grey’s stories have been read for decades, but it was a woman who convinced
the reluctant dentist to publish his western stories.
For years, these women have
gone unheralded for their contributions. Now, Allen reveals these
achievements for the world to realize the true impact these women
have had. Extraordinary Women finally gives these
women credit through humorous and interesting stories.
Allen is the writer, creator
and producer of a popular radio program and news column called
Little Known Facts . It is broadcast on more than
490 stations and syndicated in more than 100 newspapers. An award-winning
television producer and National C.I.T.E. award winner, he has published
two other books, How to Market Your Business without Any Money
and 101 Little Known Facts .

April 2003
Dale Robertson Retires
Little Known Facts Show host and voice Dale Robertson announced
his retirement last week from the radio program. Dale who recently turned
80 years old said, "I've worked for more than 60 years and it's
time for a little rest."
Robertson who has hosted the show since it's inception
May, 2000 is also known for his roles on the television shows,
"Tales of Wells Fargo " and "Death Valley Days."
He has made over 60 major motion pictures as well.
Dale now lives comfortably on his ranch outside
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and still works with his first love,
horses. He will continue to do some occasional voice work and product
endorsements, but feels that the grind of a daily broadcast is something
that he just doesn't want to do any longer.
Little Known Facts radio and newspaper stories
will go on uninterrupted. We will not let our millions of fans
down who tune in everyday to listen to our stories. We all love Dale,
but everyone seems to understand that at 80 years old, he deserves
his retirement. We know people love the stories and we have thousands
of fan letters urging us to continue the great stories that we write.
It is our pleasure to do so.
Shows are prerecorded several months in advance
so Dale's voice will still be heard for sometime as yet. We have
been talking to several very talented prospects and while we can
never replace Dale, we are sure we can offer a new style and sound
to the show that virtually everyone will love.
The staff and more than 3 million fans of Little
Known Facts wish Dale the very best. He is a fine gentleman!
